The latest news about the PS5 Pro is quite exciting. The PS5 Pro is expected to be released in late 2024, likely timed to coincide with the release of GTA 6. Major updates include significantly enhanced graphics performance, with ray tracing performance expected to improve two to four times. Additionally, the PS5 Pro will support 8K resolution and incorporate Sony's proprietary upscaling technology, "PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution."

The PS5 Pro is anticipated to offer about 45% higher rendering performance than the standard PS5, with a GPU expected to deliver 33.5 teraflops of power. Furthermore, the new 3nm chip manufacturing technology will help reduce the size and manage heat more effectively, which might lead to a slightly smaller console.

The price has not been officially announced yet, but it is expected to be around $600 (approximately 700,000 KRW). This reflects a slight increase compared to the current PS5. The PS5 Pro is designed to run the same games as the PS5 but with higher resolution and frame rates.

The PS5 Pro will also feature built-in cloud gaming capabilities, allowing PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers to stream games without needing to download them.

Chipset Details

The PS5 Pro's chipset is expected to use the latest technology to maximize performance and efficiency. According to current information, the PS5 Pro will likely feature a CPU based on AMD's latest Zen 4 architecture and a GPU using RDNA 3 architecture.

CPU
The PS5 Pro's CPU is expected to be upgraded from the PS5's Zen 2 architecture to Zen 4. Zen 4 uses 5nm or 3nm process technology, which significantly improves performance and power efficiency. A Zen 4-based CPU will offer higher clock speeds and more cores, enhancing gaming and multitasking performance.

GPU
The PS5 Pro's GPU will likely be based on AMD's RDNA 3 architecture. RDNA 3 offers more compute units and improved ray tracing performance compared to previous generations. This will support higher resolutions and frame rates in games and enable more complex graphical effects. Specifically, RDNA 3 is expected to deliver performance capable of supporting 8K resolution.

Memory and Storage
The PS5 Pro is also expected to feature more memory than the current 16GB of GDDR6, allowing for faster data processing and reduced loading times. The storage will be based on NVMe SSD technology, providing faster data transfer speeds.

Additional Features
The PS5 Pro will support Sony's proprietary "PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution" for resolution upscaling. Enhanced cloud gaming functionality will also allow users to stream games without downloading them.

Manufacturing Technology
The chipset for the PS5 Pro is likely to be manufactured using TSMC's latest 3nm process technology. The 3nm process reduces chip size while providing higher performance and power efficiency, addressing heat dissipation issues and allowing for a smaller heatsink.
